Anybody have any ideas for a good set of Nerf Bars. I am in CNY and the winters/salt are brutal. I am worried about the bars rusting. Are there better brands to use or ones to stay away from. I also don't want to spend an outragous price form them. Some dealers charge way too much shipping for them. I prefer Stainless Steel type.THANKS. DAK 2006 Club Cab.

i had the westins on my full size. black not stainless. first couple of winters were fine then all of a sudden they just started to peel and rust. i kinda like the oval ones now, but since they did not last that long i am declining to get another pair. also when they were wet they were very slippery

I put on some stainless stel ones from UWS (http://www.unitedweldingservices.com). Type 304 stainless steel is marine grade so it should last well through New England winters here. I love the look of them. Solid.
Hi stash. My two cents worth. I have Westin's Platinum Series Step Bars and Bull Bar(chrome over stainless steel) pricey but absolutely worth every last penny. Took a LOT of road salt here in NJ -no pitting,no discoloration. Came through the winter looking as good as the day I installed them. One thing though, on mild days I did clean and rewax them.
