I was looking at cold air intakes for my 93 ES. I came across a couple on ebay but was unsure if they actually improve the car other than the looks under the hood. Would a system such as THIS or THIS actually work. The claim to give an extra 10-15 HP but I doubt I would see such results. Thanks

If you get a cold air intake, whatever you do (and I don't give a damn if you have to wait to save up), MAKE SURE YOU ADD A WATER BYPASS VALVE! If you don't, then you better pray water doesn't get into your engine. That's what happened to my bro's 3000GT, it got water logged, seized, and had 2 holes knocked in the block. Just fair warning.

Cold Air Intakes shouldn't cost more than 200 bucks I'd say, or atleast I don't think my brother paid more than that. They definitely did work though, he got a good amount of boost in mileage.

I'll be honest, I don't know the price of a water bypass valve, but it shouldn't cost more than 50-100 bucks in my opinion.

I think this one will work. It fits a Stratus but it has the same engine, 3.0 DOHC V6, as my Stealth so im thinking it will be fine. Its about 50 bucks for one though. Also, could you please let me know where you are looking at cold air intakes.

The bypass itself will work, but you will need the CAI designed for a Stealth. The Stratus engine sits 180* different than ours.
