Has anybody ever considered having t-shirts done with the web address? I'm not much into the sticker thing any more, but would love a t-shirt.

I'm not much into the sticker thing any more, but would love a t-shirt. BadStratRT 07-08-2004, 01:23 PM i like that idea...id also like a windshield banner.... brderj 07-08-2004, 01:26 PM That would be a good idea. Can Amanda do something like that? brderj 07-08-2004, 01:29 PM ORIGINAL: BadStratRT i like that idea...id also like a windshield banner.... A while ago I was interested in getting a custom sticker done for my truck and from what I got of the conversation was all Amanda needed was the length. She has a roll of the colors and can do any size you might want. So in short ask Amanda what she thinks. :D BadStratRT 07-08-2004, 01:31 PM well, il have to check...id like to put something on the mirada, to save myself some breath. i tell people about this site alot, but it would be easier with a banner of some sort. brderj 07-08-2004, 01:36 PM Like I said I am pretty sure she could hook you up with something like that. Dodgegirl19 07-08-2004, 02:16 PM Ralph and I have contacted two companies about making T Shirts for us... NEITHER have gotten back to us... so it's in the works... hang tight. :):) ~Amanda BadStratRT 07-08-2004, 03:48 PM as in they were contacted recently and havent replied? Dodgegirl19 07-08-2004, 03:51 PM That's what I meant by "NEITHER have replied". :) LOL!! ~Amanda KimBo K. 07-08-2004, 04:11 PM why don't you make t-shirts yourself? it's cheaper, i think! SRT_YA 07-08-2004, 05:10 PM if Amanda can get volume, then it's probably cheaper to have someone else make the shirts for her... Frat's & Sororities do this... (see all the things I learned in college.. haha)... my question is Amanda, you couldn't put any Dodge logo's, car/truck pic's, etc. on the shirts without going through Daimler could you?? since there stuff is patented and copywritten?? I'd love love to see some graphics on the shirt as well as the website logo... just don't want you getting sued or going to jail;):( KimBo K. 07-08-2004, 05:17 PM but must get the volume. what should it cost? $25 or so? thats price what we pay about for a t-shirt! dustyloins 07-08-2004, 08:22 PM The bigger the order, the cheaper it should be. $25 is a bit steep for a t-shirt, I've seen alot of them go for around $15 on ebay.... Dodgegirl19 07-08-2004, 08:28 PM I can't make them myself, we want something silk screened, sturdy... And to be dead honest, what DCX doesn't know won't hurt them. I really don't think we'd get sued over it... DCX isn't like that... Ford is the evil bunch, check this out: http://www.fordreallysucks.com/more_info.html It's not like we are going to make a zillion and market them, we are going to sell them to our members only. :) And no, it won't be $25 at all... I'm thinking $10-$15... Yep, that's how it works, the more we buy, the cheaper it is. :) But, like I said, neither company has gotten back to us. We've got other companies to write, but they are more expensive... ~Amanda KimBo K. 07-08-2004, 08:32 PM f**** we pay $20-$25 per t-shirt think $20 for a white one dustyloins 07-08-2004, 08:52 PM How much are American blue jeans (Levi's) over in Germany now (on the German economy)?? moparturd 07-09-2004, 12:44 AM I think maybe instead of a picture we should have a slogan to go on the back. You know. something like "my SRT-4 just spanked your mustang" or "my truck is cooler than your POS truck". We can take suggestions and have a poll to vote on the slogans. Kind of a process of elimination through a series if need be. What do you think? dustyloins 07-09-2004, 01:41 AM I like 'em both!!! [sm=smiley20.gif] moparturd 07-09-2004, 01:48 AM I think it would be fun to see some of the slogans this group would come up with.[sm=smiley4.gif] BadStratRT 07-09-2004, 03:09 AM as pertaining to copyright laws... im sure someone other than myself has been to a flea market, and theres always that one table...you know the one i mean.. a 40- something white guy...dressed to the 9s in his latest fubu wear, or tommy...with the huge "GUnit" hanging around his neck, Karl Kani jeans, and polo shades. all of which he sells at his table, alone with nike and adidas shoes and apparel. amazingly, the Fubu baseball jersey he is wearing/selling, sells for 85.99 at champs, but hi are only 9.99. because mr middle-age too fly for a white guy has them made elsewhere...all knock offs, and if the copyright laws were that tight that guy would be in jail, because not only is he selling liscensed apparel, but hes cutting a profit. and we were to have shirts made, so long as amanda doesnt retire and buy a fleet of SRT-10s from the profits, the odds are SOOOOO slim that anyone will ever find out. do you think the people at car shows who make shirts with cars or logos on them have the permission of every company of which they make a shirt? i really dont, and while i see the point, i dont think it should be a concern. ive been trying to think of a catchy way to promote the page, and the other page on which i am very active, but ive come up with nothing..[:@] KimBo K. 07-09-2004, 05:58 AM have Jeans, Levi's ®, »Standard Boot-Cut 507« $77-special offer (normal: $109) Jeans, Levi's ®, »501« $47-special offer (normal: $105) Workerjeans, Levi's ® $135 Jeans, Levi's ®, »508« $105 .... enough? the problem of an slogan is, there's not everyone driving an srt-4 or an truck. so ther must be done at least both in the same volume, and don't know whats with the price, think would be much more expensive. the better way is a general slogan, is my opinion! Fiddle Player 07-09-2004, 10:27 AM I hope those companies get back to you soon! I had thought the same thing about having shirts made because I don't have any dodge gear at all accept my big leather jacket with a big white ram head on the back and one on the front. Keep after those companies:D Karen moparturd 07-09-2004, 11:42 AM the better way is a general slogan, is my opinion! Absolutely. It would have to reflect the feelings of Dodge owners. I remember my dad use to have a shirt or something from the 60's that "Bored with Ford, buy a MoPar." I would love something like that, but rather than poking at a specific make, poke fun at the every other car company. I got a plastic liscense plate that said "MoPar Factory Engineered Hot Rods" As far as copyright laws go, this would be like free advertising provided it isn't used in a negative way. KimBo K. 07-09-2004, 12:30 PM do you really think dodge is against it? so if, amanda should write a mail to daimler chrysler and ask if she could make t-shirts with logos, etc. BadStratRT 07-09-2004, 12:51 PM what dcx is agaisnt is others using their name/logos to make money, without them getting a cut of the cash. so long as whoever is using the logo can prove they are not doing so to make a profit, itll be fine. anyways..it isnt like there are millions of decals or shirts out there..yet..;) moparturd 07-09-2004, 01:33 PM Using the DF address and a slogan wouldn't be any kind of copyright infringement anyhow. So that's would be the way to go. KimBo K. 07-09-2004, 01:57 PM think Dodge logo should be part or not? moparturd 07-09-2004, 03:28 PM No. Just the web address and a slogan would make me happy. |
