I haven't but that hood was on the car for only 6 months.
I would imagine the dealer could help. If not then possibly you could squeegee the bubbles it out or use a very very small needle to poke a hole and to let the air escape. If you try the latter (needle trick) pick a test bubble (I would say that is less visible but that isn't possible on the hood) and see how it works.
another forum I read had the same issues and they did replace the sticker...I think it actually lifted on the edge not bubble. I would think a bubble is more evident of an installation issue as opposed to a lift problem...dunno though...
Mt TB had bubbles in the hood and on the driver side rear decal. I brought it in and they did replace it after some arguing. The dealership took it for a week (said they had to outsource it to a paint shop as dealerships don't do that ) and when I picked it up there were even more bubbles than when I dropped it off. They told me that it was a wet application, not to try and squeeze it out and, lo and behold, after a week they were all gone. They did put over 100 miles on the car and there were footprints on the ceiling when I got it back, which really fired me up. Dealership said they would call me about it and I haven't heard from them since. Sucks, cause my tire sensor is on and my tire pressure is at 32 psi, which per my door jamb sticker is correct, and I dont want to really give it to these guys again after all the other troubles I've had with the service dept at Choppers Towbin dodge. I wonder if I can get warranty work done at another dealership?
Try to use a pin to make a small hole to vent the air bubble. I would use a sharp, brand new X-acto and make a tiny pin prick in one end of the hole then use a smooth edged squeegee to force the air out starting at the end opposite from where you made the hole.
IMO it's a real bitch to remove an adhesive graphic as large as the hood decal on the Daytona. There would be a lot of residue left and the graphic would not come off in one peice like you might think. Whoever does it, you, the dealer, a paintshop will not have it easy. Then the paint will have to be buffed out in preparation for application of the new decal. Then there's no guarantee you would not be bubble free on the new one.
Thanks for the replys, the problem i have with the pin hole fix is if it doesn't work i'm screwed. You know how dealers are when you try to fix something simple and it doesn't work. Oh well, i'll think it over and let you guys know how it goes.
