Now that I have these gorgeous wheels on my car, I'm thinking that a set of good quality lowering springs would make the wheel wells look even better. I know, I know... I have a problem. Have any of you done this yet and if so, what springs did you use? How is the ride? Would you do it again?

I would really like a set that does the front slightly more then the rear. From what I have found I can't do this without coil-overs. Anyone find anything different? I'm looking for a fairly moderate drop, like 1.5 fr 1 rr.

Anyone know what affect springs will have on the self leveling shocks on the Daytona?

The Nivomats got to go; they will level the car back to OEM height after installing third party springs. If you slap springs on it you will have issues with the rear shocks.

There are several third party coilovers available. Take a look at KW V1 or V2, Hotchkis Stage 1 TVS System or Mopar.

___KW v1 - provides ride height adjustability.

___KW v2 - provides ride height and rebound dampening rate adjustability.

___Hotchkis Stage 1 TVS System - Not sure what they will do.

___Mopar - I believe their made by KW.

If you get the KW you replace the stock struts, rear coils and shocks.

I put KW v2 on and really like the KW's. The ride is low and very firm and fully adjustable. I dropped mine 1.5 all around. You loose the cushy comfort ride that the OEM R/T performance package gives, not that it’s bad but the KWs tighten it up so you can feel the road.

I also put Hotchkis sways on mine that stopped the body roll.

If you’re not going to tune the suspension to the n’th degree I would recommend KW v1.

As usual, thanks for all the info Mango! I just opened the KW site and will start researching. I hate to tighten things up too much as one of the things I like about this car how well it handles while being plush. I went all out on my old WRX and while it handled like it was on rails and was well over 300hp in a tiny car, it was quite jarring. Gods, it's official I'm old! :(
