IPods have a FM transmitter attachment which work great. I use one in my patrol car. It sure is alot easier than changing out radios and alot less expensive than buying matched components.

Check out the Mopar Ipod Integration kit. No one at my dealership had heard of it but I found a few dodge/apple press releases talking about it. It runs aroun $150.

Just got my Daytona yesterday (LOVE IT!!!), the Ipod kit will be one of my first mods till engine breaks in.

Not that I'm a IPOD person but this is interesting... Dodge/Apple. Going to look into it, thanks for the update!

Good luck on that mod!

I was told that the road and track is not equipped to use an ipod in it. You can use the one with the radio dial thing, but it sucks. It sounds horrible. I know, bc I tried it. I'm really bummed bc I bought my ipod just for the car, the 4gb one and that's not cheap. Now I can't use it. From what I understand, there's gadgets out there so you can use your ipod. I haven't looked yet myself. Been too busy with work instead.

Guess no one has done this. Do you know what does the Mopar Ipod integration kit consists of and what does it integrates with?

For example: I've got the Sound System Option w/DVD-based GPS Navigation System and 6-CD/MP3 Changer. Will it integrate w/it?

AFAIK it will.  I believe it is supposed to hard wire to the antenna at the back of the unit.

There is no jack with the DVD nav system.

If you have the Nav system you need the ipod kit from mopar. It plugs in back in place of either the VES or 6 cd changer, gives you a cable to mount the ipod to. Song navigation is still on the ipod. Best buy has a kit that will go in place of the CD changer and give you song control and display control in dash, or in place of the VES system with no in dash display.
