Default Voltage Regulator location

Does anyone know where it is located on the 3.0L V6s?

Most modern alernators have the regulator built into them, they may be controled by the computer, but have never heard of them being part of the computer, but with the way things work on some cars, it very well could, but I would suspect it is the same as my son's 90 model, and is a itergrated unit.

On both my 85 and my friends 88, the regulator is built into the alternator. Both cars have the Bosch alternator.

Some cars have internally regulated voltage computer while others are regulated by the alternator. The Daytona's are alternator controlled as far as I know.

It's a 91. I was told the regulator is in the alternator. But the car has also been fixed. We were playing with the battery connections and ended up leaving a wire from the positive terminal unplugged all together and it ran fine for a day, then the next morning it did the same thing. So I took that random wire and plugged it into the negative terminal and it's been working fine ever since. Weird.
