Its Hot, Ventilation Trouble Please Help

Hello everyone. New to the forum. I searched around but couldn't find anything to help me, so sorry if I'm rehashing an old Q. I have a 2001 Durango. Of course the day it gets over 90* outside, the air stops blowing out of the dash. I have air coming from the vents in the back, but no air at feet, dash, or defrost. Any ideas, I've checked fuses and all are well. Previously I thought I heard a noise from the fan area, which I think is at passengers feet, sounded like a fan blade was rubbing on something? So I think it is either the motor or fan??? Anyway all suggestions are welcome, as I don't want to take it to my dealer if I don't have to. They totally burned me last time.

First, turn off the rear fan. Then play with all fan speeds to see if you can hear the front fan motor engage? If you cannot hear the motor power up, and this happens on a 90+ day, it could be your resistor pack about to go out and is sensitive to temperature. They get hot and then blow. Seen this before and do know why this problem happens to nearly all the 2001 models that I have come across. I don't think the 2000's and before have this issue. The 2001 model and later, they re-designed the dash layout and redesigned the enviromental controls as well.

I came across this thread the other day and it might be the problem. It's definitely worth a look http://www.dodgeforum.com/m_5461/tm.htm

Hey guys thanks for the help. I just replaced the blower resistor and I'm back in the cooling again! Stoked for $15 and a few tools.
