WHY is dodge coming out with a 6.7l CTD that produces LESS horsepower and EQUAL lbs.-ft. of torque, when we have a 5.9l CTD? The 5.9 is much more economical and more hp per liter. Can someone please explain to me why dodge is just tossing out the legendary 5.9l engine that has had people struck with amazement from the start with a bigger fatter engine that does nothing better? That's like asking me if i want a 4 cylinder with 300hp and 300 lb-ft of torque or a v8 with 285hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. I would be crazy to pick the v8.
Maybe people are telling me wrong... Dodge, I know, will make the 6.7l useful somehow. It has to have more torque in order for them to make it. I'm hoping everyone is wrong

I can't speak for st louis, but at warren tuck we start 07 models on July 5. But then we are down for the next 3-5 weeks afterward.
Warren wouldn't shut down after '07 production started... Warren will shut down at the end of this week and will be down for two weeks (July 3-14). The 17th to 24th will be model changeover days and Job1 for 2007 models is July 24th.
St. Louis shut down on June 16th and will start 07 production July 5th.
