Okay. A friend of mine has a '94 Intrepid, and there doesn't seem to be a release button for the trunk.

are we missing it, or is it actually there?

I hope I'm not confusing 1st gen Intrepids with other cars I've owned, but open the glove compartment and look around the left-hand side
