I think the German part of Daimler Chrysler is part of the Nazi party.LOL They are ruling it with an iron fist. If they would stop for 1 second and listen to the people/customers the Charger R/T would already be a reality and in 2 door form. Even the gm people I know would have bought one. I had several already ready to buy one, but they had to bring down their axe and thats all she wrote.

I'm sorry. I can't help myself when it comes to my beloved Mopar. They have deceived and stolen from the Chrysler Corperation. They claimed it would be a merger. HA Takeover. Then they take money from Chrysler to put into Daimler with no return, down sizing and selling for more Daimler butt saving. They have been on a downward slope and have been taking from Chrysler to save themselves. Chrysler was an American made company and by God it should still be. It should be made in America, by Americans, using American made parts, for Americans.

And you know how big Daimler is, right? I mean, they basically run the space program in Germany... German DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG is what it's called! I mean, they have PLENTY of money... put it back into Chrysler!! But Daimler's HUGE... they didn't need Chrysler... they aren't in it for the cars... they wanted an 'American Market'... so they BOUGHT ONE! :(:(
I remember when I was the only person protesting the 'merger' when it came about. At least, the only person I knew, and everyone said it would be good for Chrysler... I was against it from the beginning!!
Anyway... I'm done venting... I don't hate anyone over it... Daimler will bring good things to the table, they have to. Think positively about it... nothing can be done about the past.
GO DODGE!!

The problem I have now is that it seems almost every new car will be mostly German or like the coming Neon, Mitsubishi frame and Hyundai powered. It just makes my skin crawl.
Daimler has been in an automotive sales slump, not necessarily going broke. I hope I never have to say "I told you so", but I have always had a bad feeling about all of it. I see Daimler slowly erasing Chrysler until it is only Daimler, just another corporate take over. I hope that I am wrong.

Boy sure do hope your wrong too. cuz that would be quite the disappointment. so far i can see the european in chrysler, look at the crossfire, and the slingshot concept! I don't know maybe the european style is favored by many and make it available for the rest of the public, unlike the BMWs that go from 40 and on.

Their upcoming roll out of 26 new/redesigned models, with in the next 36 months, may prove to be an up swing for Chrysler. If they bring out what we as consumers want then it is a sure thing for a long Mopar life to come.

The merger was the only chance to save Chrysler because of quality problems with the industrial side of producing. I hate to say it but Daimler saved Chrysler. But good for them because i love my Mopar. Doesnt matter how many cars you sell if you cant efficiently build them.

And it is yet another, other than the Viper, two door that I wouldn't mind having, but is way too expensive for my poor blood.

The current 2004 Mercedes Benz SLK32 AMG, which is basicly the same exact car, as the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6, runs these numbers... MSRP $56,170.00* Engine AMG-built intercooled supercharged 3.2L 18-valve V-6 engine Net Power 349 hp @ 6,100 rpm Net Torque 332 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm Expect pricing, I would say around $45,000! redriderbob
