Default 95 intrepid transmission sensor problem.

Hi, My transmission has been acting really weird lately. basicly when I start it up it runs fine for about 10 seconds then slips out of gear and will only run at the idle speed, pressing on the gas just revs it up really high with no acceleration. now the strangenst part is that when I turn the car off and back on it runs fine again for a few seconds then slips out of gear again. so I did a little research and heard that the input output sensors are probably the problem so I replaced those and nothing improved. so what should I do? I think resetting the computer might do something but I dont really know how. anybody that has any info please help.

Default RE: 95 intrepid transmission sensor problem.

Johnnyfivealive...

I read your post and I'm having the same problem. 95 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L. I would start it and put it in drive and it will take off for about 10 sec. then it feels like it shifts down and eventually the car would go nowehere. It sounds like a vaccuum hose or something is off or loose. I checked all the connections and don't seem to have any problems. If you've found a solution to this, could you please share w/ me?

Thanx,
