I was wondering what you guys thought of the tailights I put on my 05 Dakota QC 4.7. When I ordered them I thought they looked outstanding but now I don't know if I like them so much. I like them better than what I had, what do you guys think? Pictures are a little dark but you get the idea. Let me know.

Looks nice, I was actually planning on running those tails but now, I'm glad I didnt, paint them flame red. :)
Damn you. :-P Dual exhaust, no moldings, sport package, debadged. Lucky.... now about that cd player?

You're right Frenchy, I did take some of your ideas. I'm sorry. The debadging was your idea, I don't know why but it never occurred to me to debadge. I never thought something so small could do so much. Also removing the moldings was a good idea too. Wait until you see the truck next week. Going to be sick. I'm new to this whole customization and it's my first truck. Looking forward to a lot more fun. Regarding your stereo, I'm also thinking about putting an aftermarket deck in, not sure how it will look but want to inquire about it at least. What are you putting in? I promise I won't copy unless its the JVC 3.5" DVD/MP3 player. If I decide to go aftermarket I'm going to throw to screens in the headrests and get mobile direct tv so I can watch the Mets when I'm at work! HAHA.

Go to my cardomain site. I doubt you can copy what I did.

And what is it you are doing next week?
I have NO plastic behind the drivers seat. It's strictly sheet metal. I got a huge fiberglass sub/amp/satellite radio box going back there. :-)

Wow, that is impressive. You're right I couldn't do that on my own but I could sure as hell try. What materials did you use? Is that an Alpine deck? That's what I was worried about is the stupid knob holes from the factory deck. They extend out past the width of the actual deck. That's my only concern. I like the way you incorporated your XM/Sirius deck. I have a Sirus deck that I would like to put in also from my old car. Didn't want to put it directly on the dash. I like your look though.

they look pretty good. they match the bumper steps. if your bumper was chrome and not painted they probably would look tacky

I think I like them too! I will eventually paint them though when I get ready to repaint my truck.

Helluva fiberglass job Frenchy. How long that take? From the angle at first I thought you were putting a lap-top in there. Hows the back wall coming?

did you have gaps along the edges after you installed these taillights?

Yes I had very small gaps, not very notcieable, but gaps nonetheless.
