I had done some serious research on getting a Detroit Locker, but the cost to me was over $500, and I can't take a hit like that right now.
I'm looking to get the Mopar Performance M1 Intake Manifold, which I can get for a great deal of $299... but does anyone recommend another Intake Manifold, or should I go with the M1?
Also getting new gears at the same time... should I go with 3.91 or 4.10? And why? I have my reasons for either one, but I'd like to hear everyone thoughts first.
Thanks in advance everyone.

No, haven't had her to the strip... yet...
I want the Performance Intake Manifold to get better mid/top end, and the new Rear Gear will give her better low end grip by counteracting any loss the Intake Manifold gives her on the low end.
Plus, the new Intake Manifold will complete the upgrades to my overall air intake system... as she's got K&N FilterCharger CAI system, custom Fastman TB (soon to be installed), Edelbrock Ceramic Coated Shorty Headers and Mopar Performance Cat Back exhaust.

He's not coming specifically for me, he's got business to do around here and he "owes" me the TB so that's why I get it when he comes this way. I shouldn't have said anything... I can't exploit him and ask him to do the same for all... I'm sorry.

Amanda. Do you mean the single or dual plane M1? A dual plane would probably be better for a truck since it provides better low end power than the single, but still give you good gains elsewhere. Single planes can require a higher stall converter in heavy vehicles too. The dual plane will have a broader, more streetable, power band than a single as well.
The gears really aren't that different, but neither will improve your traction/grip, but the posi will. Make sure you have someone who knows what is going on when installing the new unit. If it makes ANY NOISE, take it back immediately.

I definately trust the people who touch my truck... they know I'll kill with great pain if they mess it up.
As for the Intake, I thought I had to get single plane...? The ones for Fuel Injected engines are single plane, so says the Mopar Catalog... the M1 is 2bbl MPI, Aluminum, Single Plane, blah blah blah... I can't get dual plane for a fuel injected engine... can I?? LOL, this is why I need advice on this... THANKS!!

[sm=lol.gif] Your a trip.
Your right about the manifold. Sorry. I see that 2 versions of the MPI manifold are offered though, and one is shown as being a 2-bbl 5007398, the other a 2 or 4-bbl 5249816. The "9816" manifold does have a narrower power band.
Just curious. Have you talked to anybody about porting or extrude honing the stock manifold? I recall reading so time ago about someone who had ported/extrude honed the manifold, and it really improved the flow.
