Default How much HP are stock SRT-4 motors built to handle?

i would imagnie if the SRT-4 comes stock with a turbo the motor internals would be made out of forged metals or aluminum that are built to handle more then the stock 240 horsepower.. does any one have any ideas of how much horsepower can be put into the stock motor (properly tuned) before failure will occur?

what PSI can an upgraded turbo be ran at with all the proper upgrades & tuning before the motor begins having problems?

Default RE: How much HP are stock SRT-4 motors built to handle?

450hp or so is doable on stock internals. 500hp has been done, but isn't suggested for a long term solution. what psi a turbo can run at is dependant on so many factors (fuel set up, tune, turbo size, etc.) that it's basicaly impossible to answer that general of a question.
