Now why would you want that? If that's the way most places would say bring it in because that's the bread and butter. It IS a stealership too IMHO I can usually find parts with lifetime warranties for cheaper than OEM parts with whatever warranty is being offered...

ORIGINAL: pcjeep Looks like I'm too late to get in on this one but for all noise complaints I use a stethoscope and probe everything until you get to the loudest spot. It works for anything...bad diff-wheel bearings or hub bearing-alternator-p/s pump, a/c comp., trans, etc... If you would have used it at first you would have heard it was loudest at the waterpump. And we are not stealerships its a DEALERSHIP. They sell and repair cars. They are not trying to steal from you. Cars break down, just like tvs, microwaves and anything else. My only concern is the price Chrysler list for some of their parts? Does anyone know of a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep forum similar to this but only posts and replies can be made by real dealership techs? sounds like you work at a dealer? Well I have worked in the service department myself(mostly motorcycles) and I can say that in a lot of dealerships, it is not the techs or the techs' work that pisses people off, but they lack of professionalism by the management... trying to change for things that do not need replacing, over charging labor... have you not seen the recent Jiffy Lube scam... Honestly, I can say I have seen some of this stuff first hand some dealership tried to convince me a 27k mile Jeep needed a trans flush(not having any trans problems at all!!! and didnt even look at it before suggesting that I should have it done), YET the Jeep engineers my dad works with said that is not part of the scheduled maintence suggested for the vechile... hmm who is right, Jeep engineer or service department at dealership??? One bad experience at a dealership is enough for most people to think poorly of them Maybe you should look at it from both sides...
