Default New Srt-4 Stage2 vs. Aerial Atom?

A couple of weeks ago I sold my Neon with a turbo kit and bought a 04 SRT-4 with only 6K miles on it. I had the Stage 2 Kit put on, plus the stage 2 coilovers just a few days after the purchase. I am very impressed with my new car, amazing performance compared to my turbo kit neon.

One of the sales mgrs of the company I work for bought one of those Aerial Atoms. He was going to get a new Viper but decided to go with an Atom after he checked out the website, plus it ended up being $25, 000 or so cheaper. I did not know what they were and I saw it the other day and it looked like a go-cart/indy car. We got to running our mouths at each other and I challenged him to a race for $200 bucks. He accepted without hesitation. Hmmmm, I am a little worried now, not for the 200 bucks but for the bragging rights. Who do you think will win? Are those cars fast or are they all show?

Why don't you just go ahead and hand him your money now. If I were you I would just swallow my pride and tell him "yes, you have a faster car than me". Aerial Atoms are basically a street legal racecar. There are three different versions I believe but all of them are very fast!

i never heard of this before, so i just did a quick search.....if what i'm reading is true, you're going to get your ass handed to you. it's a 250hp engine in a 1300lb body, 0-60 in 3.5s....nice little car actually.

There is also a 300Hp supercharged version that does 0-60 in like 2.9 seconds; if I remember correctly, even the cheapest version has around 200Hp but still has a 0-60 around a low 4 second range. Sorry dude, any of these will waste you.

challenge him to a contest to see which car can hold more golf clubs... or drive in rain... or comes with a cigarette lighter... hahaha... as for a race, you can send me $200 too since you seem eager to throw money away [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif] hehe

Just by looking at it I wouldn't of extended a challenge..... I guess you'll learn the hard way that SRT4's are fast, but not the fastest thing on earth! Consider the $200 a charitable donation.....

Yea, the Ariel Atom is basically a go-cart w/ a honda engine. It'll rip.

I have been playing with the idea of building a single seat car similiar to the Ariel Atom using a fully built SRT-4 engine/tranny along with a big turbo and an AEM EMS.

With a 26" tall rear tire, 7500rpm rev limit, 600Rwhp and weighing in at 1500lbs w/ driver; it'd rip through the 1/4 mile probably in the mid 8's, handle like a go-cart, and have a top speed of well over 200mph.

I have been playing around with a similar idea but just using a stock SRT-4 motor, maybe an ITB set-up with an older used F1 frame, rwd of course
