I believe Vulnox (err whatever his name is) had the same problem. He took it to the dealer, had a "leak specialist" look at it. They didn't find anything and the leak all of a sudden went away. He had a sunroof too. I ordered my Caliber with a sun roof and I hope that it doesn't have the same thing. I do get to park my car into the garage, but may still be a problem when it doesn't get the chance to park it into the garage.

I was gonna say I think its a sunroof leaking, but the doom light seems too far forward for the water to leak from the sun roof into the dome light.

It is a strange thing. Possible the windshield is leaking? Though, that doesn't seem right either. Very strange...Hopefully it works itself out.

that´s one of the things because I try to not choose sunroof in my car.

I don t know if it is option or the car come with it.

thats an annoying problem... because water can enter in a spot and appear in another side...[:@]

hope tat you find whats the problem and solve it.

I don't think its a problem with the sunroof leaking though because the dome light is nearly 6 inches forward from the sunroof. Its actually closer to the windshield than the sunroof.

It happened to me on a couple of occassions with my VW Golf. The second time was caused by the drain tubes being blocked and the water found its' way to the map lights and the headliner above the sun visors.

It doesn't take much to create a mess. In my case it was debris from tree leaves and needles but sometimes the drains are blocked during the manufacturing process.

I chose this time to avoid the possible headaches by not ordering the sunroof.....

From a simple leak in the taillight seal on the Neon....people were getting water in their trunk and rear floorboards...water can travel anywhere it can get into so dont rule it out. The best thing to do is take it to the dealer and force the issue. A new car shouldnt be leaking.

I could agree more.

but If sunroof is optional.. here in Portugal.. like my other cars... it will not be in the list.
