i have noticed that if i put my wipes on high the passenger side wiper will hit the cowl that they com out of. so i got to looking and notice the wiper will move about 6 in before grabing and stopping.
is there an easy fix like tighting some thing up or do i need a new some thing.

I had a problem just like that... the splines on the wiper arm ended up stripping because I thought the wiper could win against ice... my bad... But ya for a temporary cheap fix I just took off the arm and put electrical tape around it then used a mallet and put the arm back in. This will do until I come across another wiper arm.
I used JB Weld, I must've been bored.. but I was told it was 80 bucks to replace the motor(comes with the wiper pegs) and 20 bucks per wiper arm. Never had a problem with them since though..
