I was looking at the lightning but was told that I would need another car for the winter. I know the only way to get the power of the lightning would be to get the srt-10 but I don't have the mone for that. I like the Ram Quad Cab Hemi with the sport package with the same color bumper and "lip kit" but even with the Hemi it only does 15.7 sec. So then I was looking at the rumble bee which is nice but it doesn't have everything I want.

I guess my first question is, can I get the rumble bee in leather? If not, wouldn't it be the samething if I got a Ram 1500 single cab with the hemi package and the sports package so that way I can get the options I want like leather?

What is the 1/4 time of the rumble bee and is it the same as the single cab hemi package?

hey... I dont know all the available options and everything, since I dont sell rams for a living... but Id definitely say ur best bet it to call or email ur local dodge dealership...Just ask them all questions u have that (they'll want u to come in and look around if u call them... so email is probably better cause they cant pressure u into comin in as much) but anyways...
If u want my opinion... get a 4WD SHORT BED, REGULAR CAB SPORT... with the Hemi... u can get Sports with the WHOLE PACKAGE.. leather, Infinity system, etc.. and with the money you'd save you could soup it up with some aftermarket stuff. Id recommend stuff like Gen 2 K&N CAI, and maybe some headers, exhaust.. etc.... JUST KNOW THAT IF you DO buy one, they'll ask u if u want them to put in extras... steps, bedliner, bed rails... etc) say No if u want to save money... its MUCH cheaper to buy them offline! A buddy of mine just got a quad cab hemi.. added chrome sidesteps and bedliner via the dealership... 900 bucks!!! could have gotten it offline for like 650ish!...
Lemme know how it goes... and if u tweek ur Sport up enough.. itll be plenty fast and durable in winter too! PLus... Fords suck! LOL

The rumble bee package is merely cosmetic, it has NO performance differences when compared to a 2WD reg cab short bed HEMI. Sooo, get the reg 2wd I just mentioned with the sport package and 20x9's, add the 'lip kit' you mentioned, and voila a rumble bee without decals but with a waay lower price. This way you can add the leather etc. Also if you really want the rumble bee decals just get alocal vinyl shop to make em...i know a few guys on here have. This will leave you with more money in your pocket, faster quarters than a 4x4 quad, and you wont have to drive a F*rd. WOOT

When I go to Dodge.com and add the 20" rims, it says I need to change the axel ratio. Why do I have to change it?

The lip kit I am talking about, the dealer told me it was called the sports package but when I looked it up on dodge's site it didn't look anything like the truck at the dealer. This is the bumper I am talking about just in case you didn't understand. Is this the sports package or is it something else?

Thats the same body kit you see on a rumble bee and some sport models. You can get atruck like mine (see in the gallery and in my sig) w/ leather, and add rumble bee decals. And the difference in price for a regular truck as opposed to a special eddition, you can get a good hood. I got the SRT-10 hood (same one as in that red truck in the pic) and I got it all for cheaper than a rumble bee. And really, a rumble bee wont be all that value retaining, because of the fact that theres no performance options, thus no real driveable benefit to them. (NOT DISSING RUMBLE BEES!!!)

I would just get a truck custom built by the dodge dealership. They will find on that you want. And you can get the decals thrown on there, get SRT body kits or SRT hoods. etc.

Good luck and cant wait to see the truck. As for getting your hemi... soon there wil be a supercharger available for the hemis.

Send pics when you get your truck!

It seems that the SL and SLT don't have a leather option. I can always get leather added even if I get a SL, it would be an extra, right?

So that bumper is part of the Hemi sport accent package?

What is the difference between the three levels?

I know I should go to the dealer, I just want to know now because I can't wait till tomorrow to know. :)

The 20's require a 3.92 rear axel ratio I believe, and trust me, you want it. You wont be able to build the truck you want online with the dodge tools though. The SPORT PACKAGE is basicly body color mouldings bumper etc with chrome billet grill, yes you want that. Then theres a "Hemi sports package" thats kindof a dealer thing that you cant add online. That package gives you the hood scoop, front lip, and side skirting/running boards like the Bee, again you would want that.

ST is base. You cant get sports package, good stereo, leather or 20's with the ST. It sucks, dont buy it.
SLT is the most common trim. It is midrange, you can have the 20's, sport package, good audio etc, but NOT leather. I LOVE mine its got all the goodies.
Laramie is top of the line, You can get any of the options you want, plus leather if you so desire.

I quickly built a Laramie 'rumble bee' with everything you want minus the hemi sport option as it's not online currently, and got 30,970 USD. You should be able to get it for cheaper.

I have two 04 Hemi rams and neither came with leather. One silver single cab and one rumble bee. I ordered the leather seat kit from a company found on ebay. They came with the HEMI plastic logo in the back part of the seat. Looks awesome. I want some leather for the rumble bee, with a bee or something in the seat back. Haven't seen one out yet. The covers were 679.00 Not too bad.

Oh ok so I would want the laramie so I can get the leather. I know I can get it aftermarket but I would rather get it from the dealer. Even if I get the 17" wheels I would still probably want the 3.92 axel ratio because I would get aftermarket rims anyway, right?

So the sports package is painting the chrome bumpers and then the hemi sport accent package is the extra pieces on the bumper?

I paid just over 30K for my QC Lararmie w/California Express Package. You should be able to get a RC loaded like mine for mid 20K's

Sorry, NO CA. Express or T-Roads for '04.

I am gonna have to test drive one and see how I like the ride. Is the acceleration quick? I like the look of the QC but I am sure the 1/4 mile on the RC is a lot better because of weight. If not let me know so I don't get the RC thinking it will do better on the track and it really doesn't.

There is a def. diff between the quad and the reg. I test drove both and the seat of your pants dyno lets you know theres a diff. I still went with quad because of the room, and its still no slouch!
