If you don't need the extra room of the quad cab for kids or gear or both, get the regular cab. Although the regular cab does have a lot of room behind the front seat. The regular cab will be quicker and get better gas mileage due to less vehicle weight.

Dos anyone know the 1/4 mile time? I can't find it anywhere and I have searched every search engine with every possible word combo to get it. All that comes up is the SRT-10.

The Rumble Bee is a waste of money in my honest opinion, I work for a Dodge Dealer and think it's to much money for a regular cab truck (we've had three, all 4x4, and stickered for $35K) now if it was supercharged like the concept was then i'd be all for it. If you want Leather, YOU CAN get Leather in just an SLT, but it won't be heated leather. The lips you're talking about is part of the "Hemi Sport" Package which is different than just the "sport" package, with the regular "sport" package you get everything but the lip and the fake hood scoop, the "Hemi Sport" package is only available on thte Quad Cab model, I have yet to see a Regular Cab Ram, outside of the Rumble Bee, with any kind of lip kit. If you get the 20" tires you have to move up to the 3.92 rear end gears, no way around it, you CAN NOT get 20" tires with the 3.55 rear end gears. The best bet is to go to your local dealership and have them spec out a truck exactly like you want it.

I agree, I work at a dodge dealer too, I've driven every configuration too, including an SRT-10 (which for the record I was NOT impressed with) and the Regular Cab is much snappier than a Quad Cab.

Is that 1/4 mile for the reg cab. I think I read somewhere that the QC runs 15.7 so the weight difference is a good .6 seconds. I will have to ask my dealer is they can put the hemi sport package on a RC. Would I also have to get the reg sports package to along with the hemi sport of does the hemi sport replace everything?

I sat in a Reg Cab SLT with the Laramie J package. It was really nice. Nice and big. It was expensive though. 35k with the hemi. I thought they were cheaper than that. Now the only thing I need to do is test drive it.

I saw a rumble bee advertised that had leather. Also I believe the Rumble bee package is only decor. The hemi is the same. I'm sure if you go racing the 1/4 mile you will be able to find after market attachments to make you think you are going faster :0)

Yeah I went to a dealer yesturday and they said it is mopar parts and they will install them. Would I need to get the reg sports package to make the bumper and grill the same color or when I order the Hemi sport will that include the painted bumper?

What price should I try to get for a 04 RC Hemi Laramie J package with the Hemi sport?

I would say closer to 25K out the door .

My fully loaded QC Laramie was just over 30K after the 4 hours of negotiating.

Good Luck!
