Default Problem with a 1993 Dakota

I just purchased a 93 Dakota and it has a problem. When you step on it like you are going to pass someone it runs extremely horrible. It is almost like it has a misfire but I have changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and it has all new wiring throughout. I dont know what else to go with on it. Also, the temp gauge goes whacko when it does this. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!!

could be your fuel pump. i am same problem when i step on it and sometimes while normal driving. I have the same year truck. have the pump checked for psi.
mpi psi is 31 0r 39. its an easy fix. get a friend to help you. instead of droping the tank its easyer to take the box off the truck. there are 8 bolts that hold it down and disconnect the tail lights. and possible the spair tire shaft. the box weight is around 150 to 200 lbs. watch when you set it back that the body line is straight line. and make sure you have the same disstance from the box to the cab. other than that i don't know what to do.

I just cut a hole in my bed then made a panel to replace it from another bed in a junkyard truck. Granted I have a gay plastic bedliner so its not like things will get caught on it sliding in and out of the bed. I also cut out where the top shock mounts are too and did the same thing.
