why in holy hell would you want to do that...the only applicable reason would be if you were independently wealthy, or were racing the truck...a 5.9 in a dak would be more than enough, let alone an 10 l. it would def be a feat, but also a waste of a good Viper motor....

Dakota with a suped up cummins diesel! Imagine a streetable truck that can go over 220 mph, does 12.x secs in the quarter and also get over 25 mpg . 700 hp/1300 lbs of torque. I take this over a viper motor anyday! [8D]

They got some new video clips on that truck doing a burnout, blowing a vette away, etc.

It would be nice to see that cummins diesel to be offered in a Dak or Durango as an option to the 5.7 hemi. I think the cummins can run almost as good as a hemi but provide better longevity and lower maintenance and possibly much better mpg's.

In my area of DFW, we're hanging at $1.8x for regular unlead. But My Durango R/T is thirsty for the premium stuff at $2.05.

last year at one of the CC national events, there Was a dakota with a viper motor in it, and i presume a viper tranny, because it was a six speed. the truck was simply sick. with the hood closed, and if you couldnt see the massive pipes, it looked like a regular Dakota R/T, with viper hood badges. but the interior was fully refinished, custom racing seats, so on. the engine did appear to be a bit uncomfortable in the engine compartment, as it looked Very wedged in there. it also had the viper-look sidepipes. it was very impressive.

Rad rides by Troy built the Viper/Dakota. It was extremly difficult. The whole front frame had to be hand fabbed and the wiring harness had to be built from scratch as well. Also the bulkhead had to cut out and re-welded in several inches back.

Sounds like a plan, but i doubt dodge will even consider it. Its already in the ram, so why put it in another vehicle thats basically the same thing?

You guys should consider yourselves lucky. We pay close to 4.00$ a gallon up here in Canada.
