Default State Of NY Introduces Bill To Ban Brush Guards

Figured this is as good a place as any to post this, since most of the brush/grille gaurds installed on Dodges would be on the Ram.

Hope other states don't start trying this [&:]

This is some of the crappiest news that I have heard. I go to school and hunt in Wisconsin and the brush guard is a great thing to have and would be ruining the front of my truck. This would be a major dissapointment in my resideing state of NY. Also a majore pain in the ass to take off and store somewhere.

What is the reason to ban them? They dont help at all in a front end collision. Everyone I have seen folds up and takes the impact, and guess what, helps protect the occupants. I have seen what happens to the good and the cheap ones after hitting a 1000lb moose up here. Again the occupants are still alive.

I have had one on all my trucks
A) protect my investment (sorta)
B) Keep animals from going over the hood and into my windshield
C)scare hondas outta my way in the fast lane, and fords

If you read his link, it states: #1; that it creates more damage to other vehicles when involved in accidents. #2; it obstructs the airbag sensor when in an accident. #3 Requires vehicle owners that already have them installed to uninstall them. I too think its BS and gives me another reason to hate N.Y.!

If they want less damage to other cars, dont make the entire ****ing thing a crunch zone.
