This was brought to our dealership the other day in an enclosed trailer...I had to be somewhat sneaky to snap the pic. as it is supposedly still a concept vehicle, and our District Rep wants it held under wraps for now.
This is one of 8 in existence. One for each Business Center (or zone) for Daimler Chrysler US. They are currently touring all dealerships to give employees a 'first peek'. This is a new approach to try to get 'real world' insight.
2008 Dodge RamCharger
Available with Cummins Turbo Diesel....'turned down' for less torque and supposedly 26mpg...Still the most powerful SUV.
Front part of cab is ripped right off of the MegaCab.
Shorter Wheelbase than MegaCab.
Largest SUV available...larger than the Excursion was.
If they make it, i'd like it. We dont really have a suburban or even tahoe size SUV really, the durango is smaller i think.
actually, the current durango is the same size as the Chevy Tahoe....so its no longer a small suv....and in fact....they're going to lengthen the frame of the Durango in 08-09 I believe.
doesnt look like a photoshop, but it does look like its an aftermarket type conversion. i know on the previous gen rams there were companies making real crew cabs with the ram, and also suburban type vehicles.

I could seriously believe the aftermarket type conversion. I posted a few pics of the 2nd gen Suburban conversion last year.
I will say this though, it wouldnt take much to make a photochop of it. Just a little line removal and darken it some to give it some contrast.
yeah i'm thinkin aftermarket conversion because of the thick weatherstripping around those rear windows, plus they are kind of squarisch and dodge would probably have incorporated the shape a little better
I think it shoukd look more like this, just give it the new front end and some minor tweaking and boom done.
That's a pic of the Mexico-only Ramcharger from the previous gen ram...
I agree, this "2008 Ramcharger" does look suspiscious, espescially in the rear side window area; looks just like a cap!
