RE: TURBO POWER - 3/4/2006 11:01:08 AM    Daytona RT Posts: 231 Joined: 11/9/2005 Status: offline Conversations with a number of folks tell me that the Turbo for this model & engine are going to be seriously problematic. clearance and motor mount points, exhaust configurations and such require substantial modifications. It seems this is going to be a serious challenge to anyone that wants to go Turbo. On the other hand, Supercharger units are going to be far simpler and more cost effective. requirements for space and adaption of your mounts and pullies area likely to make this approach to forced air mod far more effective, both for the unit and the pocketbook. Boost that exceed 12 pounds will of course force the modification of the rods and transmission. Stock parts included are typically good for 450 horse, those that exceed this can cause the types of strains that lead to failure. On the upside, forged rods, high compression piston heads, compatition cams, roller rockers and a good trans kits are already available. If your going to the expense of upgrading rods, its a few more dollars to get your 5.7 bulletproof. Good luck _____________________________ (in reply to Dudedatsmycar) Post #: 2
