My Charger Daytona R/T gets about 100 SPG (Smiles Per Gallon) when getting 19 MPG. But when I get 16 MPG then I get more like 200~250 SPG... But worth it.

The ratio seems to be inversely proportional.

I havent figured mine yet cause Im only on my 2nd tank of gas, but I think Ill be in the 16-17 mpg range, probably. I would like a little higher. Daytona R/T had posted he put a Series 63 K&N Cold Air Filter?? and Throttle Body on his and he is getting 18-19 mpg driving in autostick mode, w/ a moderate foot. Not bad, anybody else put these mods on and see this kind of performance? He said it gave him about 4 mpg more.

kinsco - I'm getting anywhere from 24 - 26 mpg with mine driving 50 miles round trip to work - about 50/50 freeway and intown, heavy traffic driving in auto mode, cruise control on the freeway, and light foot in town (traffic limiting). It actually indicated through the on-board computer a couple times that it was getting 31+ mpg on my way home, just before getting off the freeway, and ending up indicating 26-27 by the time I got home.

I have the MP CAI, Magnaflow full cat back exhaust and currently have the JET Stage 2 chip in mine. I've ordered the Flashpaq super tuner and am anxious to get that.

74scamp,

When you say heavy traffic, auto mode, are you using the auto stick or automatic in heavy traffic. Im going to use the cruise when on freeway, but like baldylox, I travel short distances in town and dont get on the highway as much. Much more city/town driving and stop and go.

Kinsco - mostly, I just leave it in Drive. But if the traffic gets really slow and congested, which it usually does, then I will go to the slap stick mode, and usually don't make it out of third gear, if that.

I'm about a mile high here in New Mexico. Still, getting really good mileage. Just installed the Flashpaq program and it's still really great! I have about 4300 miles on mine.

I have the daytona R/T, it is my wifes car, but she refuses to drive it since she lowered the Garage door on it. We bought it in August, and it has 2800 miles. So 7 months later, the onboard trip computer shows it getting 17.8 MPG (average), and I am by no means easy on the acceleration when we do take it out. I drive it more now that it has finally been rained on. I think we will trade it in on the 2 door challenger.

Trade it !!? Hell I'm on the list for the Challenger.. and intend on putting the Challenger nose-to-nose w/ my Daytona RT.. "Now what shall I drive today.. The conservative 435 horse sedan.. or the 510 horse retro-mod.. ??? Decision decisions"

In town MPG between 17-18 or lower depending of course on driving habits at the time.

Daytona RT,

What mod's have you done to your Daytona RT to get the 435HP?

Thanks in advance
kOnO
