DaimlerChrysler showed a short promotional video during its press conference at the Geneva Motor Show yesterday, featuring a number of its popular new vehicles. Among the slew of production models was a short clip of a never-before-seen Dodge model. The car is believed to be the Dodge Avenger or Stratus, a sibling vehicle to the 2007/2008 Chrysler Sebring. The car appears to be finished, suggesting it may appear as a 2007 model.
i was at the HQ on sunday, and there were several cars with poorly masked front ends which looked like the front end of the caliber, but the car was unmistakably a sedan, not a wagon/hatchback.

i didnt have a camera, i was just on my way to the museum, and we went past the proving grounds real quick...and when we turned around, i could see them up inside the gated area next to the HQ..
it looked like a 4 door, not a coupe...and from the angle which i was viewing it, it appeared to be a caliber sedan. it was too far away for my camera phone to do anything...
The back end of the car in the first pic looks sort of like the Monte Carlo...not necessarily a bad thing, but you can't deny the resemblance.

It sure didn't look like the Hornet was well received at that show...sounded like sympathy clapping to me. haha

The front end looks very familiar. I thought it was associated to a sedan version of the Caliber. The rear-end is new.
I agree with you Dartman69. They didn't seem that impressed. I have never been a fan of hachbacks. They remind me of stationwagons and minivans. They were talking about offering Dodge because of its American styling, then they just proved that they weren't going to carry that on with the Hornet. They need Plymouth or Eagle to carry cars like these, not Dodge and not Chrysler.
