always use 93 since day 1, have th airaid intake and a flowmaster,also a 180 thermostat. how do you relocated the air sensor? drill a new hole? where abouts on the tube?

drill a hole about 8 inches from the existing one. you will need to purchase a rubber groumont to replace the iat one. i had to splice my wires to get it to fit. summer time use the closer hole to the filter and winter time depending were you live use the hole closer to intake.

whats that do exactly obviously give colder air readings but how does it affect the computer?

computer sensors relay info to computer regarding air fuel air temp speed and so on. colder densor air reading puts the computer timing advanced . are computers are designed to have as much as 22 degrees timing. our trucks come from factory detuned for that unknown reason. by letting computer known it is cooler outside gives the truck and air fuel mixture a better ratio and bumps the timing up a few degrees. more power more torque.in the winter time in ct. it gets 0 degrees outside not good to have all that cold air rushing in might hear some detonation in cyl. so by moving iat back to originall spot. computer picks up warmer air and sets air fuel mixture back to optimal performance. our trucks run the best with air temp outside around 70/75 degrees thats why everyone races at night. better engine performance but hardly anyone can hook up

I was thinking of getting the stage 2 jet chip for the 3.7 L 2004 dodge. Any suggestions ? I have a flow master exhaust, and a true flow air intake. The jet site recommends a 180 degree thermostat, but in limited internet research and a stop at the local auto parts store I came up empty. Any suggestions on the chip specifically and/or where to find a 180 degree thermostat ?

Reply to jersharp. Stage II NOT recommended without 180 thermostat which at this point in time is not available for 3.7L. I would have preferred the StageII in my '05 Dak but had to settle for the StageI. Suggestions have been made about drilling 3 holes in a triangular pattern in the 195 to supposedly act as a 180 but that just does not set well with me. I personally think it's a bad idea.

Check the standard part no for the replacement thermostat for both the 3.7 an 4.7. I believe they are the same thermostat. If they are then the NAPA 180 degree Superstat part no. 530080 which does work in the 4.7 will also work in the 3.7.

Do anyone of you know, where the ECM is, in a Durango 4.7L 2006. According to the instruction (I want to install stage 1 Jet chip), the ECM is on the passenger side, in the engine room, next to the air intake. But there is the battery? I can´t see under it. And the pic in the instructions that came with it, are definitely not from that vehicle.
Does any of you know this?

I've been thinking about getting a stage 2 one, but every one keeps saying to run 93 or better gas here in AZ I only see 91?

remember that you have the 4.7 h.o. motor so you will need the stage 2 chip for that motor, not the regular 4.7 91 octane will work fine for you. you wont see much gains if you use 89 or lower
