Why don't you guys just save the money that you spent on the supercharger and buy the Hemi instead?

I don't really forsee a benefit by supercharging the 3.5 over just buying the 5.7 (or preferably the 6.1). If you're lucky, you might be able to get the car as fast as a stock R/T, but likely with worse gas mileage than the Hemi (5.7). To me, it makes as much sense as trying to soup up a slant six. It just isn't worth the investment.

I did buy the Hemi.. 5.7L.. Now I'm lookin for that next 75 horse. Supercharger is not my preferred option.. I like the turbo performance charactaristics.. but I'd take look at a small 8-12 lb boost if I could find one for the Daytona RT Charger. I got my eye on 500+ hp

Supercharging the Hemis is all good and fine, but we were talking about supercharging the 3.5L.

I hope the 3.5l is a better candidate for a supercharger than a Hemi. Several of the big name supercharger names have extensively looked at the Hemi and found that it is not an efficient engine to add forced air induction. Ask Kenne Bell who provides many Ford blowers. They tested the engine and found the efficiency dropped too rapidly to create a true power machine. Do not get me wrong there are two truths to engines, enough air and fuel compressed to hurculean levels provides horsepower, but some do it far more efficently and scale better. The Hemi engine does not, but it is a miraclous achievement, enjoy it, but do not blow it...

I think the 4 cyl. to 8 cyl. on the hemi might be a little problem for a supercharge so I understand where your coming from. who is kenne? please keep this poll for V6 owners no offense HEMI......

To be honest I wanted the R/T but couldn't see spending the extra $7K for 90hp... so I bought the SXT instead. I figured there were less expensive ways of getting the power. Get that supercharger down around $3000 and we can talk.

I'm getting ready to fit it with a Borla exhaust. Trying to find a decent supercharger for the 3.5L is next to impossible... so I'm likely going with a cool air intake kit from K&N or Airaid

I'll still have a ways to go for that extra hp but it's going to be a fun journey.

I was considering trading up at one point... but then Kasey Kahne signed my trunk lid so it will take small arms fire to make me part with her now.

HyeStyleCars, that's the question... what are the gains on this? People can determine the worth better if there were numbers to look at.

Also is dodgerla a supporting vendor, if not should this thread be closed since their promoting their product?

Any supercharger worth its salt should give you around 50% hp gain. So with the right intake, exhaust and chip it would need to be at least 300 rwhp (which would probably rival a stock R/T)

To answer your question about getting a muscle car sound out of your charger... it's not easy with a V6. Get an intake kit (or just cut out the silencer) and then throw some aftermarket pipes on it. That will add a little bit for you, but you're not ever going to get away from the V6 sound, unfortunately.

I have to agree with daddy here, every after a long day of modding, its still gonna have that V6, moms grocery getter-ness to it. just like every subaru with big wide open pipes sounds the same, just like every honda sounds like a weed whacker. AND DODGERLA, AS FAR AS YOUR SUPERCHARGER KITS GO, I GOT NO PROBLEM PAYING 5G'S TO 6G'S UNDER THESE CONDITIONS BECAUSE YOU DIDNT SPECIFY MUCH...NUMBER 1. SINCE I'M MAKING THE DRIVE AND PAYING FOR GAS BOTH WAYS, I EXPECT YOU TO ALSO TUNE MY CAR TO TIP TOP SHAPE, DYNO PASSES AND WHATEVER YOU MAY NEED TO DO, AND NUMBER 2. I EXPECT IT TO COME OUT WITH ATLEAST BARE MINIMUM 200 REAR WHEEL HORSE...I believe thats more than fair...and i'm assuming install is included as well? if the price goes higher let me know. I WILL BUY THIS. 100% GUARANTEE. JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Just wanted to say, that I would be very interested in a v6 super. I've done allot of research in to forced induction for the 3.5lHO v6 and was at a lost when I found out that when Mopar tried this originally they found that the engine usually blew it's self up. I cant say I know for sure if their "Mopar" is still using the same internals as before. You would think they would put foraged internals in, ever since the forced induction craze kicked off again. I'm only looking at an additional 50hp or so to bring my 300m up to 300 or so hp... so I would be very happy with that. Al tho any thing more and you may as well get the v8 because you will about put that out in $$$ trying to beef up your engine enough in order to do it.. Oh one more thing HEMI. or hemispherical displacement is what makes a HEMI a HEMI. putting forced induction on one negates that. Thus reducing the efficiency of the engine and making it almost pointless. Does any one know if "mopar" put forged internals in the new 3.5 ho's?
