I put the Magnaflow full cat-back exhaust on my 06 R/T. Now, when the DMS kicks in (or tries to), I get a vibration that seems to come from the exhaust. Anyone else have this problem and any fixes or ideas?

baldy, I just put some washers in between the cross member and the floor and got the extra space I needed. This vibration I'm talking about seems to stem from the different exhaust and the difference in exhaust pulses caused when it goes into DMS mode because of the new exhaust. I think that cross member simply acts as a drive shaft "loop" anyway.

I believe it sets up up above the shaft if I remember right when I installed mine.I do get rattle out of it i just need to take it back to my buddies and remove it.... its the one by the crossover or xpipe. It had to be removed to install it it only acts as a hanger so if it falls it catches it .Possible be on the gas tank I also I had some there to but I moved it all foward and got rid of that .

baldy - you're right about the cross member - I just put 4 washers on mine between the cross member and the floor of the car and that gave me the clearance I needed there. I don't think the vibration I'm trying to fix comes from a metal-to-metal contact. It's more of a resonance sound/vibration. Again, I think it's caused by the DMS kicking in and running on the 4 cylinders thereby setting up a resonance that can be both heard and felt. Didn't do it before I changed the exhaust. But I will check out the gas tank and see if anything there looks suspicious.

I GET IT ,ITS FROM THE MDS TURNING OFF 4 CYLINDERS.DRIVES ME NUTS AT LOW SPEEDS. CANT HEAR IT TO MUCH AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. YOU REMOVED THE RESONATORS RIGHT ? SOUNDS GO ON ALL EIGHT. ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE 4 MISSES.IT JUST ECHOS THRU THE 3INCH PIPES. IWAS THINKING IF I PUT THE TAIL PIPE RESONATOR ON MIGHT NOT NOTICE IT AS MUCH, TOM

Tom, I have the Magnaflow resonators on. However, at 80-85, it doesn't turn off those 4 cylinders very often. I still get 22-23 mph with it. I also have only 2 1/2 inch pipe.

DAVE, DOES IT SOUND GOOD WITH THE MAGANAFLOW RESONATORS ? I GUESS THEY HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN STOCK. AT 80 MPH I DONT THINK MDS WOULD KICK ON .
