Default Jeep Wranger/Rubicon V-8's

Does anyone else miss the V-8 in a Jeep. I've owned several CJ-7's (304) and now a new wrangler. I'm sorry the 6cyl is nice for bopn around town with the kids but I'm a die hard mud dawg, and the sound of a quietly tuned and mufflered 6 cylinder doesn't do it... Anyone else agree?

Jeep Wrangler Brute
American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has a reputation for not only enhancing but reinterpreting the Jeep Wrangler. Like the Brute concept shown last year, this show vehicle suggests what the Scrambler will look like when it goes in to production next year. For those who can't wait, AEV can build one for you today. AEV will even fit the Brute with a 5.7-liter/345-horsepower Hemi V-8, which they claim will send this 4x4 from 0-60 mph in under six seconds. This vehicle carries the firm's replacement hood, five-spoke wheels, and rocker guards, along with a push bar, winch, and tonneau cover.

AEV designed the Brute for durability and real world use. The Brute features a nearly six foot long bed, built from 14 ga. steel, this bed is incredibly tough and includes built in tie downs. High Capacity models use rear air suspension for increased load carrying capability. The midship fuel tank is built from 12 ga. steel and has a capacity of 20 gallons. A full size (up to 35") spare can be carried under the bed. The Brute is designed to work as hard as you do.

Now the Jeep Wrangler Brute is something Jeep needs in their lineup badly. Jeep has the Scrambler coming out in March or April. However, if they can't seel these things to a price similar to a Club Cab Dakota I doubt it will be a big seller. Wrangler prices are crazy, $26,000 for a somewhat loaded one? Come on. Thats just crazy! But if the Brute is powered by a 5.7L HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8, has a five-speed manual, 17" Ram 1500 wheels, and capibility like a Wrangler, Jeep could sell a bunch of them!
