Question ? It was below o here last night, and my truck did not start, so i had to drive my daytona charger. As i left my driveway i decided to us the autostick, to keep it in a lower gear to help it warm up quicker,Here is the problem,it would not downshift. I taped it to the left a few times and nothing.so i go to the right and after a few taps it does go to 5th then i go back to the left and after a few taps it finaly goes into 4th. i slow way down and she did go into 3rd but not 2nd. Im thinking by this time it might be cold related so i shift back up to drive/auto mode, and make my rounds.Once the car is warmed up i try it again , no problem what so ever.Autostick mode now shifts as it is susposed to,up down with no hesitation at all. Any one else have any problem with extream cold temp shifting ?It was 10 below last night in maine

I had the same thing happen to me ,although i live in kentucky not as cold as some , i took my RT to the dealer and a mechanic looked at it and said it was ok,you had to let it warm up some or it would not pull right,I thought it was low on trans fluid. but not the case. you cannot add fluid anyway except through a plug, they told me it was a sealed trans on the RT ,probably the same on a daytona i would think.its service is due at 40000, to change fluid .the dealer said. I just hope they added the right amount of fluid at the factory.HA!
