That looks great, I wonder if they are being really conservative with their performance numbers though, i'd think the 0-60 on it with 300hp and AWD would easily be 5 seconds or less, with 300hp that would put it right around a Subaru Impreza WRS STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo for power to weight ratio.

FWD, not AWD, pricing is supposedly unconfirmed at well under 25k.

There will be both an AWD and a FWD version of this car....as the R/T is AWD

Evo IX still will eat this alive....as you got to remember....the SRT-4 model will come stock with a turbo....otherwise it wouldnt even compare...

I heard that rumor, that there wouldn't be one. The thing that the person who made this up doesn't realize, is exactly what you said. It's probably available in both. There is no way the R/T is available AWD and the SRT isn't...

So does the Evo...

People keep saying, "Oh I see nothing about AWD, it hasn't been confirmed, it's FWD now"... Well I say to them, you see nothing about FWD either... It's hasn't been confirmed, so I guess it's a no-wheel-drive... The wheels don't move... lol

definatly isn't going to eat it alive, maybe beat it by a small amount, they should end up very close hp/weight ratio, the Evo is 289hp and 3285lbs., with 300hp the if the SRT is 3410lbs. it will have the same hp/weight and that's probably right around where it would be from the numbers we've seen, th R/T AWD is 3308lbs. And the Evo also comes stock with a turbo so no clue what you mean by that.

Unfortunatly it could happen, it did with the Magnum, you can get a Magnum R/T AWD, but the SRT is RWD only, same for the 300C, but hopefully they will give it AWD.

The R/T is AWD and just as slow as the SXT because of it. We'll see what happens, but I dont see it happening while keeping costs down in the under 25k range.

Well with the Caliber SXT and R/T it's because even with the R/T the car just doesn't have enough hp to warent an AWD system for performance, it will still help in snow and stuff but it wouldn't be traction limited with just fwd, at 300hp SRT would be traction limited, enought that only FWD would probably impact it's performance a lot, just as an example look at thr SRT-8's, a Carger SRT-8 does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, the Grand Cherokee does it in only 4.5 seconds while having 5hp less and almost 600 pounds heavier, that's basicaly because the Charger is very traction limited.

To keep the cost down and the weight down, the SRT-4 is only going to be FWD. It better have some damn sticky tires.

Chase i'm with you all tha way mate, i want this thing to be AWD also. I'll still think this thing will have to come out with AWD, 300 at the the front wheels is stupid so i'm still hoping it will come out in AWD and put it in EVO teritory
