Caliber SRT-4, 300 HP?!

Dodge is in the middle of hosting its press junket showing off the new Caliber sport compact out in the Arizona desert [HT www.firehouse.biz]. But the big rumors aren't about the kick-ass tailgating speakers but of an upcoming SRT version that will have a nice round hp number of 300. That would be a huge boost over the outgoing Neon SRT-4's 230 hp and will have street racers jumping for joy if the price is on track with the previous model.

I heard the Caliber SRT-4 is supposed to be released July, 2007... so Dodge is going to have to show it to us some time soon...
