My toy truck will always be black. Work trucks are whatever color they are.

Bright Silver Metallic is the way to go. The best choice I made (besides buying a Dodge). Always looks clean, can't see any scratches - you know the really fine scratches you get when washing or drying it over time?>>>>>>>>>>

I hear what you are saying but silver is SO boring. I just traded in a silver PT for my Ram. I had the choice of any color and it was between red or blue, only dark blue though. I just didn't want another dark color, my Saturn is black and impossible to keep clean even an hour after I wash it. They had a vanilla which just didn't look right on a truck and a few shades of blue, grey and some metallic black. I do agree though, when shined up nicely the black looks awfully nice, but so does the crystal pearl red!

my black car was horrible with scratches but my silver truck does a much better job. It's nice to be able to stand close and not see how dirty it is.

Word
My truck looks great, except for the bedliner, but that's cause it takes a LOT of punishment.

PS- it's 6 years old

All of my trucks have been black. Yes they are hard to keep clean, however, when they roll out of the car wash, there's nothing like it. Well worth the $17/wk.

Man, this thread has been active for a while huh?? LOL

I see some very nice looking black trucks out there!  I guess since my Ram sits in the garage about 6 days a week the black wouldn't have been TOO bad to keep clean but I sure do get a LOT of compliments on my Red Ram.

I own two black trucks: 06 Power Wagon, and an 06 SRT-10 RC. Nice when they're clean. Just ask my big black German Shepherd; he agrees...

I had a 2005 3500 Ram dually in black.  Yes, black is a pain, but when it is kept clean it looks fantastic.  If a good coat of wax ( I used liquid glass ) is added as soon as you get the truck...the scratches are far fewer, and dirty is easier to keep off.  I recently traded in my 05.  ( I didn't need the 3500 any more ) I bought a 07 Ram 1500 and I bought another black truck.  The 07 Black Ram has a huge amount of metal flake in the paint.....it looks AMAZING in the sunlight.
