Default exhaust ????

i have a quick question, i probably won't do it but want to know other opinions and if anyone has done it let me know your thoughts on it but here's what i want to do

I have an 04 gtx and lowered it with ground force and the exhaust clears as they put aftermarket on at LAWEST, but i was wondering how it would sound if i dumped the exhaust at the mufflers??? i don't care about road noise as i don't drive the truck enough to worry about that, i was wondering if anyone has done this on the hemi yet and if it rumbles any more??? i might try it if nobody has done it as it will cost nothing but labor time that i put in as my dad has the turn downs already so any info would be appreciated, thanks!!!

Default RE: exhaust ????

I did that on two of my trucks. Downturn dumps right out of the flowmasters. Quite loud, made my speakers rattle a little. As getting I'm getting older I didn't like it so much. I think with the right headers these did make a little more power in the higher RPM range. Eric

i'm gonna go get dynoed next week just to see the hp rating and i get three runs so on the second run i'll throw the dumps on there and as long as it don't hurt the hp i will keep it there as i know it probably won't help at all, but just wanted to pull up beside someone and them be able to hear me at idle!!

Default RE: exhaust ????

I put the original 40 series, one in one out, flowmaster and I kept my stock piping. It was a change from the stock exhaust and it sounded great. It still left me wanting more, so i dumped it. It is a lot deeper. So deep that it will set off car alarms. I love it. I was told that it would be really loud on the highway but its not too bad. I bought a Ram because its a REAL truck, big and bad, and I just wanted it to sound mean. I recomend it 100%, just kept your pipes in case you change your mind, but it's worth a try.
