Default Remote turbo questions

I like the idea of the remote turbo application but i got some ?????? 1) Will any turbo that i can buy work for this applcation?
2) anyone have like a how to, to install some thing like this? 3) What type of parts do i need because i dont really know to much about turbos. 4) Will a cummings deisel turbo work for this application cuz i can get one cheap. 5) If any random turbo works i plan on doing this install my self and some freinds obviously i need to do some research first but the reason why i wanna try is because its diffrent and seems to me if done by my self a lot cheaper than a super charger.

Cummins turbo will not work at all. For a remote turbo to work, the compressor needs to be big, and the exhaust side needs to be relatively small compared to your normal setup for a given engine. I'm still not sold on those remote turbo kits, something about them is just funny.

Not to mention where they mount it. Think of all teh crap that will spray all over it when driving in rain. Or debris kicked up from teh roads.
