Default unhook sway bars????

i see that when people go to the track they unhook the sway bars??? I have a few questions concerning this?

1) does it help and how???

2) how easy is it to do and how do i do it??

3) what's the advantage as far as times go??

I guess it's the front bar they are disconnecting. The reason they do this is to allow better weight transfer from front to rear.

so i guess it won't really help me cause with my 285's on 20's and sticky tires when hot, they don't spin and if they do it's for a millisecond!!

2004 Ram 1500, Quad cab. 5.7 Hemi, with tow package.

What options are there for a rear sway bar? The Dodge dealer can supply at big $$$$.

I've actually been looking into the SRT-10 Bar for my truck. Everything is there except for the forward mounting point on the frame for the end link. Everything else would bolt right up.
