Default ignition switch problem?

my windows and wipers will not turn on unless you hold the key forward in the ignition . has anyone ever had this problem

Have you tried a computer reset? To do it disconnect (-) battery cable then turn ignition key to on position for atleast 15 seconds then back to off position then reconnect the (-) battery cable. I have seen things such as this cured by a simple computer reset. Nearly a year ago our Durango had a bunch of stuff quit working such as dome light, turn signals, door locks, wipers, and radio. We tried a computer reset and everything has been back to normal for over a year now.
