Actually, the new Ford Lightnings will be a 500 hp supercharged V8.

Yes, but that version won't be out for a few years yet and Dodge will probably do like they did with the 1st generation Viper after a couple years, bump it up another 50 hp.

The SRT-8 will be a plain jane Hemi. I believe that it will be the slightly neutered version(340 hp) thats in the Durango.

so what do you get in the SRT-8 besides the Hemi that seems to be an option in the car with out it being a SRT-8; badges, suspension, seats? anybody have the slightest clue on what Dodge is going to do with it?

Status: offline 		For 4k I hope the bell supercharger can unbolt and rebolt on to a new truck in 2-3 yrs when I upgrade. Does it hurt the engine in any way?

the only thing that I can think of is a connecting rod, if they are not built in extra strength, those could bust, but if they're the same strength as what is in the Cummins, then there should be no problems.


Also, what about the drive shaft and rear end the SRT-10 has a different shaft and rear end then the Hemi so I don't know if all of that could handle 500+hp

very upset... sat in it for over 15 minutes at NAIAS... nothing more than a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab Short Box 4X2 SLT w/ Sport package, ram air hood, and Regular Cab HEMI Thunderroad body kit. No "SuperCharger", just a option package like the California HEMI Express, HEMI Thunderroad, or Lone Star Ram pickups! What gives? DCX needs a "SuperCharged" HEMI Ram 1500 model. Hell, the Ram SRT-10 is only rated at towing for 900lbs., thats right 900lbs! Viper owners bought a load of them to tow their Vipers, but that idea failed.
