Turning in the S10 into a dealership as a trade on a Dakota isn't an option right now?

I would have said... "Dad, thank you but just because you bought a mistake and now your buying a real truck, that doesn't mean you can pass your mistake off to me..." hehehe!!

What color Dakota would you get?

hey, I had a 94 S-dime.....couldnt wait to get rid of it!! I think that was the slowest thing I haveever owned!!

Now I have my Ram I will never go back LOL

I was looking for a Dakota too, but came across my truck sitting in a dealers lot and couldnt pass up the moment!

Like Amanda said...why not trade in the S-10??

I don't mean to laugh... but you have an engine hanging from a tree limb? LMAO!! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard! ;) But sure... if it's just hanging out (LOL!!) drop it in to the S 10... drive the heck out of it before you make your Dad buy you a Viper. LOL! ;)

i pulled the 350 from a chevy c20 that is parked under a gigantic oak tree in my yard. Me and my dad havent done anything with it yet because it needs a complete overhaul but yeah it is still hanging from a chain on one of the big limbs. Me and dad are shadetree mechanics.

Amanda, you must be a City Girl!!!  You need to go out to the country and see the chain-falls and come-a-longs hanging from the big trees.......Now I'm not only showing my age but also my country heritage....And YES...my neck is RED!!!

I'm not calling names... LOL!!! I suppose I'm a City Girl... Hehehe! Although I lived in New Hampshire for a few years... that can be really rural... I lived in the Captial, but take about 10 miles in any direction gets you into farm country... LOL!!

Who needs a cherry picker? Hang that thar engine from the tree next to the garage!!

A pinto wagon with half the spark plugs gone will win. You'll be sittin' there in a cloud of smoke followed by two pop sounds as your tires explode from the spinning. The thing wouldn't be able move. As soon as it's put in gear the tires are gone. And if you tubbed the bed and put steamroller tires on it with wheelie bars you would simply be holding on for dear life.

Well, I had a 94 s-10 with the vortex 4.3 and had no complaints about power, thats for sure.  But as a person of resale, whatever you end up doing don't forget one thing.  That is will it look good and drive right.  If you plan on selling it later to help you finance your next vehicle you have got to keep it in the market for that vehicle.  I partially restored a 64 1/2 mustang and had 7,500.00 bucks in it and sold it for market at 5,200.00 dollars.  And most people want something that looks right, if you know what I mean.  Whatever you decide to do, good luck and be carefull.
