Hello folks just found this site I have a 99 ram 4x4 pick up with a 318 and 120.000 miles. The abs and brake light has come on, the front brakes are new, the rears are like new, fluid is full. I checked the fuses and relays all good. The trucks stops good, any thoughts? John Bigcat37930.7773842593

Hi John, there are two opportunities: 1. The expensive one (I donīt think so, but its still possible) Your ABS-Module is blown. You could check this on a empty slippery way.Accelerate till 30mph -open the door look at your rear wheels they īre donīt allowed to stop and skidding while fullbreak, they have to rotate while breaking. If they rotate even at fullbreak the ABS is ok. 2. The lousy one.The ABS got sensors at the rearaxle-drum and maybe at the front calipers.(Depends on your version)Some time the plug lost contact so the ABS-Module get no back-datas and then it says. Caution - NO ABS-Brake. Check this, its my favorit. Mikel (Dodge Germany) PS.: Let us now, if Iīm right for further problems, please DODGE Germany37931.5447800926

Mikel, thanks for the reply. I hope to get a look at the rear axle next week sometime. I think I will pass on the slippery road test

Thanks for the reply, Moe. I pulled the plug and checked the connections, and sprayed them all down. I also pulled the plug on the RWAL and checked the connections, the light is still on. I would guess the RWAL is shot? John

I've got a similar if not the same problem. The ABS and Brake light both illuminate when my speed reaches about 40MPH, then they stay on until I turn off the truck. When I start it up again, the lights are off until I'm close to the 40MPH range again. I already replaced the RWAL sensor on top of the rear differential, I still have the same problem. Being curious, I disconnected the wire from the new RWAL sensor as another test. When disconnected, both lights turn on and stay on as soon as the truck is started. Bill
