Hey I was wondering if any one knew if you could do a disk brake swap from a 2002 3/4 ton 4wd to a 99 3/4 ton 4wd if someone could help me out I would be very thankful I tried search and could not bring anything up so I thought I would ask. Also I was wondering if anyone knows the details in swapping if I need a new Master cylinder or longer lines or what? Thanks for any help

go to the pavementsucks.com website & search for brake swap, I recall some threads on this a while back. I can tell you what I do know though... the master cylinder you have should be fine, the rotors & calipers are where the fun begins... I would also recommend getting slotted rotors over cross-drilled rotors. when cross drilled, you loose too much mass to help disipate the heat.
I would not run cross-drilled rotors on a BR/BE, they have enough problems as-is. Cross-drilled rotors do nothing for brake performance except maybe decrease it. They are purely "bling-bling". If you would like to have a discussion thats fine, I've had them on many forums before and will come loaded with more technical gargon than you could understand anyway. The road course guys and corner-carvers have been trying for years to find away to increase stopping performance-you will NEVER see cross-drilled rotors on a race car. There is a reason for it, also don't bring me manufacters claims about the advantages-they sell them, of course they claim that they work. If I had a BR/BE I would think about swapping rear diffs for an American diff with rear disc. The front is gonna be a little trickier, I'm sure the calipers and abutments will not "bolt-on". You are gonna have to do some fab work to get them work-how about Baer? Their set-ups work pretty good.

slotted rotors are OK, still have a tendencey to crack at the edge of the slots(I have some C5 rotors as proof, they were only on for 1 track day). Better off with factory stock rotors. Stay away from aftermarket rotors that seem real cheap(they buy up all Wagner, Raybestos blems and sell them, as new). I have found that just using all factory parts with a good pad(not Kragen) will usually work best.Steve, not nesessarily directed at you-this topic always brings heated debate from those who have already purchased them. I edited above statement so as not to appear to confrontational.

You are right slotted rotors are ok but not cross drilled. Rotors like that are made for racing applications. If you go to a good pad and good OEM replacement rotors you should be fine.
I am not worried abou sloted or cross drilled i just want rotors in the rear of my truck I am wanting to swap my drums with a set of disk brakes in the rear from a newer ram
