Ok, well I will definetly be lowering the car, it needs it bad...

I've tried reading up on this, and just like most everything else theres so many different opinions it's really hard to figure out what to do... It seems like doing just springs might not be worth it in the long run? Price isn't that important, but $200 is a lot nicer than 1000+

If I don't go with springs, I'm looking at mopar stage 2 or the IPP coil overs. Whats the difference between them? Do you just need the coil over set, or anything else? I assume you would have to have the front end aligned after regardless which way you go?

I just need some direction... I'd like to get rid of all the gap, but of course ride and handle good. Anyways, just a little help please. Thanks

No opinions, eh

Probably will just get the mopar stage 2s I guess.

if you are going to go with co's, do it right. get either the mopar stage 3 co's or the ipp fully adjustables. they are comprible. the ipp non-adjustables are similar to the mopar stage 2's. you can't adjust dampening on them. now for some people this isn't a big deal, but if you go to the track and/or like to be able to adjust your suspension to your tastes, this is an important feature.

i'm not sure what else you're looking for. if there's another question you have that i didn't address, please ask.

I wasn't considering the fully adjustable ones because I don't really ever plan to go to the track, and figured the stage 2s would be "good enough". But I just checked the prices and the IPP fully adjustables are actually cheaper than the stage 2s, so I might just go with those then. I'm not as much concerened about price as much as having quality stuff, but of course a couple hundred bucks saved always helps.

Also, whats the install like for coilovers? I'm really not familiar with this type of suspension. And is there anything else I need with the coilovers? Front end alignment? And one last thing lol, they're height adjustable, so if you change the height from time to time, does that mess with the alignment, or anything else?

Thanks

co installation isn't that hard, but you do need a spring compressor. if you're not that familiar with suspension installations, i would suggest taking it to someone that is. you can do it yourself with the proper tools, but most people don't have a spring compressor just sitting around their garage!

yes, you need an alighnment after installing co's. badly. and yes, if you change ride height you'll need to get another alighnment as it will change camber and toe along with height.

Damn, I don't know where I'd go to have them installed around here. And I wonder how much it'd cost. I imagine the a dealership could install the mopars. Hmm I'll have to look into my options here I guess.

Think that about answers all my questions as far as this topic. Thanks

The non adjustable dampening are around 599 and the 34 way adjustable dampers are 999.

I'll get back on who is selling them if no one else has a place.

For the Mopar Stage 1's you don't have to get an alignment do you? Does anyone have a picture with Stage 1's? Thanks.

I actually just installed the Mopars last week...

Yes, you'll need an alignment, not only were my back tires angled out at the top my car was around 1/2" lower after the alignment... I got the alignment done 2 days after I installed the springs. How exactly that works out, I dunno. It was very noticable just looking at it when I picked it up, and I measured before, after the install, then after the alignment.

Looks great! How do you like them (handling, etc)? What was the total cost from purchasing to installation? Installation time?

I like them a lot. I could go for it being lower, but it's much better than stock as far as gap which I hate. You don't realize how much we have stock untill you lower your car and look at pics before and after, it's crazy.

Ride is 95% like stock, great, I only feel a "harshness" on the biggest bumps.

Handling is awesome. I did a whole suspension upgrade at the same time, and it was a DRAMATIC change.

I bought them from speedandpowerdevelopment.com as suspension package 2, it comes with sway bars, bushings, the springs, camber bolts, and the mopar tension strut kit. Alittle over $400. I also put strut bars on. I did all this a couple days before running my first road course, and the handling was really great. 100% better than stock in every aspect. The car always feels stable and under control which I can't say about the stock suspension. It was definitely a great budget suspension upgrade! I'm very happy with it. Of course, coilovers are the best way to go, but I'm very comfortable taking this car out on the race track.

I installed everything, by myself in my garage. My first time doing coil springs, and I wasn't sure how it would go. It wasn't too bad at all. The front end is a breeze, and I only had trouble putting the rear struts back in, getting everything lined up. In the end, it took me all day. I started around 11:30am and was completely finished, including cleaning up the garage etc at 11pm with lunch and dinner breaks. I'd definitely be able to cut the time next time around. It's a pretty simple job really.

Thanks! I will have to check into that. I got some rims and the wheel gap is even more noticable now. Driving me crazy! Also, I can only go the budget route right now....
