balancing shaft question - 11/12/2005 11:50:33 AM    z_green2005   Posts: 1 Joined: 11/12/2005 Status: offline I have a 91 daytona w/ 2.5L turbo. I am removing the balancing shaft assembly...but next to the water pump by one of the bolt holes, there is a small hole... what is this? and do i need to worry about it?? Thanks Post #: 1

It supplied the balance shaft assy with oil and it will need to be closed off since it goes directly into the main oil galley. If you do not block it off, you will have ZERO oil pressure and damage the engine....
