Hi bud - the Infinities reference are very nice. Very clear middle and high end, WAY better than the stock speakers - the bass is tight and well defined, but with the stock head unit, not terribly strong. I've gone back and forth about ditching the head unit and picking up a decent mid-level powered head unit - Sony, Kenwood, etc. My decibal-pounding years are behind me, but they could use a little more throw.
That's about the only thing I miss from my '97 SLT - the Infinity Gold system was great sound. My new rig is leased, so I won't cut into the door panels unless or until I decide to buy it out, which I'm thinking I'll probably do.
Actually, I just noticed you have the Laramie, which should already have the Infinity reference in the door and rear seat panels. If that's the case, mess around a bit with the digital EQ.
