winter oil

I'm using a synthetic oil for my 5.7 hemi. (5w-30) For winter time should I being using a different grade oil for cold weather or remain using the same as i am using now?

I've run amsoil 5w/30 in my last three trucks year round without any problems. You should not have any problems

Is amsoil any good? I've been talking to a distributor about it. Not too sure yet.

I've been using Amsoil for years , in several different trucks & never had a problem. Just my thoughts & couple million other peoples also.

Are you using the synthetic? If so, is there a power gain difference?

I feel a difference in performance but not a difference in the gas mileage difference

I'm running it in the engine & front & rear diffs right now. the engine temp is a little cooler & the rpms dropped about 100 rpm to drive the same speed. later this year I plan to change the tran. fluid & transf. case. They claim that if you go all syn. fluids that you will gain 1 to 1.5 mpg. Plus the Aero turbine muffler I'll be truck driving w/ car mileage hopefully.

will the warrantee be void if I change the front and rear differentials fluids to synthetic?

No it will not amsoil meet or exceeds all factory specs. + they stand behind their product 100% if something goes wrong & its their products fault they will fix it. ( gotta quit now starting to sound like a salesman.)
