3.7 rough idle ?

anybody else have the slight if ever annoying rough idle in there 3.7, if so what have you done about it, if not what year is yours thanx

I have an '03. I always figured that was the way it idled.

Mine has it, my buddy's 3.7 Liberty has it....its just something that they do. When i put my cold air intake on it seemed to help a little but not much.

Mine does it too. I got the typical dealer answer, "its normal for this trucks".

Yeah I just heard the same thing, kinda annoying, I dont know what to think of it yet, im kinda angry, its brand new, shouldnt shake

Although, there is a tsb for excessive vibration on idle for rams with 5.7. It would be something to question the dealer about since it looks like the exhaust looks the same from the cats to the inlet to the muffler.

yeah, hmmm mine is also making another noise when i start it, then it goes away, DAMMIT Im going to take it to a real shop this weekend, take all my mods back to factory, cept the exaust(welded) and find out whats really going on

Spiff, does your make that "clang clang" noise in the morning or when the engine is cool? It sounds like its coming from the transmission on mine, but then it goes away after warm up.

YES it does, I didnt want to mention it, cause I thought maybe It was from driving it to hard, Im getting it checked out by a real shop next week, I will tell you what they say, It almost sounds like a lifter knock, but i dont hear it out the muffler and it goes away to quick

damb, wont beable to get mine checked out,(clang clang) for a couple of weeks, eltupac are you getting yours checked out any time soon
