Want to change the steering wheel-Can it be done?

I finally got the engine running fairly good so it's on to other stuff. If possible I would like to change the steering wheel. Years ago before airbags it was not a problem. I realize if I go to a different wheel the airbag will go. Is it possible to change the steering wheels? If so what brand and what adapter kit should I go with? Thanks!

Yes, it can be done. I have seen people install MOMO steering wheels. Be careful removing the airbag. I know, theoretically, it shouldn't open, but I'm not sure I trust 15 year old airbags.

Many thanks for the info! After seeing the white face gauges,I gotsta have them! Are these the DIY's from the 316 site or can you buy these somewhere? Thanks for all the help.

actually, those gauges are silver

. you can find gauges on ebay for cheap. they're reverse indiglo
